Offered at a package price, this kit includes our intercoolers, our heavy-duty Y-pipe, and all necessary hoses, accessories, and mounting details.

Our intercooler kit and Y-pipe are excellent products on their own, but when assembled together they form a powerful unit that provides lower inlet temperatures and increased flow while reducing back pressure in the system - resulting in a significant increase in performance !

About our intercoolers:

In order to optimally distribute the flow over the entire core, we use cast containers with flow-optimized shapes. A well-designed container is critical to maximizing heat transfer properties and flow. The flow and cooling performance directly depend on the dimensions of the core. In order to use the thickest possible core, we replaced the upper air ducts with carbon fiber ducts. These were developed by do88 based on 3D scans and guarantee an excellent fit both to the vehicle body and to our large intercoolers.

To maximize cooling, these air ducts are equipped with seals against both the intercooler and the bodywork to ensure that cooling air does not take the easier route around the core. The intercooler connections are a full 70mm (2 3/4") diameter to maximize flow and eliminate bottlenecks in the system. This means this kit includes new hoses in all four positions, all designed for optimal flow and CFD tested. The hoses at the turbo outlet are made of a material with particularly high heat resistance and are designed for a constant temperature of 240°C.

About our Y pipe:

Our do88 Y-pipe is the result of extensive design work with many hours on the CAD drawing board as well as several flow calculations and 3D printing. The do88 Y-Tube is the solution if you aim for high performance goals and want to eliminate system limitations. It offers significantly improved flow with low weight! The Y-pipe consists of mandrel-bent lightweight aluminum tubes welded to a 3D freeform-designed cast collector to maximize flow.

The Y-tube is finished with an elegant powder coating, giving it an appearance that matches its performance.

Perfomance:

In terms of performance, do88 intercoolers effectively reduce the inlet temperature! The diagram illustrates the difference compared to the original (OEM) 996 intercoolers.
Data was collected using an AIM race logger during three consecutive runs. Full throttle accelerations between 50-250 km/h were carried out with a Stage 1-tuned Porsche 996.
No cooling between runs, just full throttle. The test was carried out as follows: First, three runs were carried out on the vehicle with OEM intercoolers.
Then the parts were quickly replaced with do88 intercoolers. Then another three runs were performed in exactly the same manner as with the OEM parts.
The difference in inlet temperature is significant, with a peak difference of 41°C, see the graph!

Cooling is crucial, as is airflow. After many hours of development, improving end tanks and selecting cell packs that meet our needs, we have developed an intercooler that is significantly more effective in terms of heat transfer and airflow.
Using our own Superflow SF-1020 probe flow test stand, the airflow is confirmed as a complete system with hoses at both inlet and outlet for both OEM 996 intercoolers and do88 performance intercoolers.
